Quotes Coaches Should NOT Use #5
Today, we move into the fifth episode of a series on quotes that coaches should NOT use in their own personal development or with their teams. Today we cover some quotes that deal with conditioning and punishment elements of your practices. In the last couple of episodes, I talked about quotes that were dominated by the pronouns "I," "me," or "my." You will hear that in one of the quotes today, but these are focused more on the punishment that we coaches dish out and what we often say when doing that. I also spend a good portion of today's episode talking about a concept that I learned from Coach Bruce Brown of Proactive Coaching called "Positive Conditioning." If you have never heard of it or done it, it will rock your world. (Although I don't go into too much detail on it in today's episode. If you're interested in hearing more about Positive Conditioning, reach out to me at scott@slamdunksuccess.com, and I will connect with you about it.)
Speaking of my email address, I am still wanting you to send in a statement or two that you have heard or used that you know we should not be using as coaches! Please email me with them at scott@slamdunksuccess.com. The more we can get out there for coaches to be aware of, the better off we will all be.
