A little over a month ago, I did a video over on the SlamDunk Success YouTube Channel about Stoicism. I had listened to a book about the topic on my Chirp app, and it was intriguing. It also provided a variety of ideas for me to talk about on video, in blog posts, and here on the podcast.
Today's quote comes from Lucius Seneca, a Roman philosopher and writer who was one of the early voices of Stoicism. The quote is not about Stoicism. It's just a quote I have had sitting in a document of quotes that I refer to at times when finding quotes for my teams or for this podcast. I like this quote a lot, so I thought I would talk about it today.
This quote is also a bit of a precursor to three other quotes that I will talk about next week from three different people in three different time periods. While they have nothing do do with Stoicism either, I think they make for great follow-ups to what Seneca talks about in today's quote.
