Today we continue the series discussing John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" and a variety of quotes in support of it. We have finished all the blocks of the Pyramid, and we are now into what Wooden called the Mortar that holds the blocks together. We covered the first six mortar elements already, Ambition, Sincerity, Adaptability, Honesty, and Resourcefulness, & Reliability.
Today we move to Mortar Element #6 - Fight. Now, understand, John Wooden is not talking about fighting other people. His focus is on the concept of an internal fight that we have where we just will not give up no matter what happens.
There are a variety of terms that one could use instead of "Fight," and Wooden himself even said that maybe he should have chosen a different word due to the negative connotations of the word. However, when you hear the episode, you will hear that it is actually a perfect word for what he was describing.
You will hear six quotes today in support of the concept of Fight.
