Wooden - Pyramid - Mortar #4 - Honesty
Show Notes

Today we continue the series discussing John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" and a variety of quotes in support of it. We have finished all the blocks of the Pyramid, and we are now into what Wooden called the Mortar that holds the blocks together. We covered the first three mortar elements already, Ambition, Sincerity, & Adaptability.

Today we move to Mortar Element #4 - Honesty. Is there really much that needs to be said about the importance of honesty if we are going to be considered truly successful? If we climb some type of ladder of success, but we have been dishonest in doing so, have we really been successful? Not if we are trying to live by all of the other elements of the Pyramid of Success.

You will hear a few great stories today in support of the importance of honesty. A couple of them will focus on a term called, "Honor Calls." I first heard the term from the director of Proactive Coaching, Bruce Brown. Both stories will illustrate players who demonstrated the concept of an honor call perfectly, one in the biggest game of a high school athlete's career!

You will also hear six quotes today in support of the concept of Honesty.
