Wooden - Pyramid - Competitive Greatness
Show Notes

Today we continue the series discussing the building blocks of John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" and a variety of quotes in support of them. We are into block #15, the apex of the pyramid. This final block is devoted to the concept of Competitive Greatness.

Wooden said that while it's critical that you take care of each of the other 14 blocks below it in order to get to this final block, just because you have developed and achieved those 14 blocks does not mean you will automatically have Competitive Greatness. You must work to develop this quality in yourself.

What is this quality of Competitive Greatness? It is performing at your best when your best is needed. It is rising to the most difficult challenges you are faced with. And it is loving that concept of having to face difficult challenges, loving those difficult moments, and then giving all that you have in those moments.

You will hear three quotes and one poem today in support of the concept of Competitive Greatness.
