Today we continue the series discussing quotes in support of the building blocks of John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success." We are into block #9, and it's the final block in the second tier of the pyramid. This one is devoted to Intentness.
Wooden said he could have called this persistence, perseverance, tenacity, stick-to-itivenss, or something else like that. But he liked the concept of intentness because it embraced ALL of those concepts. He felt that this characteristic may be as essential and important as any that he chose to include in the Pyramid.
Why might that be? Because intentness is about setting goals and working in such a way that you never give up on working towards achieving them, no matter what happens. No matter what obstacles are presented to you, you just keep fighting and battling to achieve what you are seeking to accomplish. When you combine this concept with last week's concept of Initiative, successful people TAKE ACTION and THEY NEVER GIVE UP ON THOSE ACTIONS.
Also like last week's episode, you will hear A LOT of quotes in today's episode, and I could have given you a lot more. All will help to explain the importance and impact of staying the course and persevering until the end in order to succeed at your endeavors.
