Today we continue the series discussing quotes in support of the building blocks of John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success." We are into block #7, and it's the second block in the second tier of the pyramid. This one is devoted to Alertness.
This is a quality that I imagine not a lot of people consider when listing all the elements necessary for success. But if we aren't alert, observant, and open-minded to all that is going on around us, it will be hard for us to be aware of what we need to do to avoid mistakes and failures and to maximize our chances for success.
You will hear a few quotes in today's episode, one from Wooden and two from a couple of other people outside of the world of sports. All will help to explain the importance and impact of staying alert as you climb toward success.
