Today we continue the series discussing John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" and a variety of quotes in support of it.
We have finished all the blocks of the Pyramid, and we are up to the final two mortar elements that hold the blocks together. Wooden put the final two mortar elements at the top because he felt they were the most important ones and that you couldn't have Competitive Greatness (the final building block at the top of the pyramid) without them.
The first eight mortar elements were Ambition, Sincerity, Adaptability, Honesty, Resourcefulness, & Reliability, Fight, & Integrity.
Today we move to mortar element #9, Patience. Patience is a key to building anything that is lasting and strong. Overnight successes just don't happen, or if they do, they are not sustainable. It takes time to build greatness, and patience is a key component to handling that time the right way.
You will hear six quotes today in support of the concept of Patience.
