Ep. 58 - Wooden - Pyramid - Loyalty
Show Notes

Today we continue the series discussing quotes in support of the building blocks of John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success." We are into block #5, and it's the final block of what Wooden called the "people blocks." This one is devoted to a quality that is critical to team success - Loyalty. If you don't instill, teach, reinforce, demonstrate, and model loyalty as a leader of a team or organization, you will struggle to succeed. Loyalty forges bonds of cohesiveness that build the foundation of a team.

Too often today we see people who don't display loyalty in so many different ways. Because of this, young people don't have enough models of what loyalty really is. Therefore, it is imperative that coaches, teachers, and leaders of young people model this characteristic, so that young people see the value, power, and impact of loyalty in relationships and on teams.

You will hear three quotes in today's episode, one from Wooden and two from people outside of the athletic world. All three help to explain the importance and impact of loyalty for success in any type of endeavor.
